George Womble is the owner of Realty World – J.E. Womble & Sons and is the BIC of the property management division. George has been married to Rebecca since September 1968 and they have three adult children. George graduated from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill in 1968 and began a career working in Personnel Management. During this time, he attended the University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina and obtained his MBA Degree. After spending six years in the corporate world, George felt the Lord directed him to move back to his home town and assist a growing family retail business. George soon acquired his general contractors license and diversified the family business into construction and land development. He began building apartments and acquired his real estate license to manage his apartment portfolio and also branched out in commercial and residential sales. George obtained his Realtor Land Institute certification in 2008 so he could better represent clients on both sides of land transactions. George knows Harnett County; he grew up in the county and has lived here most of his adult life. He is Vice-Chair of the Harnett Forward Together Committee, which facilitates economic development in the county. He is also President of Central Carolina Community College Foundation which provides vocational / college training in three counties.
